Who temporary.fund is for
temporary.fund exists to provide independent creatives with access to professional legal and financial guidance they would otherwise be unable to access. These criteria exist to ensure that access reaches the people who need it most.
Eligibility criteria
To qualify for a facilitated consultation, you should meet all of the following:

Your work
You are an independent creative practitioner or the founder of a creative business - an artist, designer, photographer, musician, filmmaker, or similar - whose primary output is creative work or creative services.

Your organization
Your practice or business is independently operated - not a subsidiary, division, or affiliate of a larger company or institution.

Your access
You do not currently have legal or financial counsel on staff or on retainer.

Your location
You are based in the United States.

Prior use
You have not received a temporary.fund consultation in the same area of expertise within the past 6 months.
Not eligible
This program is not designed for:
- Organizations that are subsidiaries, divisions, or affiliates of larger companies or institutions
- Organizations with existing in-house or retained legal or financial counsel
- Organizations whose primary business is not creative work or creative services
- Applicants located outside the United States
- Applicants who have received a consultation in the same area of expertise within the past 6 months
Self-certification
How eligibility works in practice
We do not require documentation of eligibility. By submitting a request, you certify that you meet the criteria above. Submissions that appear inconsistent with these parameters may be declined or deprioritized at the Fund's discretion.
Not sure if you qualify? If you are uncertain whether your practice or organization is eligible, submit your request and include a brief note about your situation. Our team reviews every submission individually and will follow up if we have questions.
Eligibility criteria may evolve as the Fund grows. Changes will be reflected on this page. If you were previously ineligible due to geographic scope, please check back - we expect to expand beyond the United States in a future phase.
